This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with Dogtastik, how we use it, and your rights. We only collect what we need to make and deliver your order.
Who we are
Dogtastik is a trading name of Samantha Goodwin, 20 Winchcombe Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL52 2LY. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at dogtastik@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you place an order
- Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address
- What you ordered, including your personalisation (such as your dog's name)
- Your order and payment status. Your card details are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number.
When you browse our website
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that counts visits without cookies and without following you around the internet. It records which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors came from (for example Instagram), the country, the type of device and the browser. It can't tell us who you are. We don't use advertising tracking. Our hosting provider also automatically keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for a short time, for security and to keep the site running.
When you contact us
Your name, email address, order reference (if you give one), your message and any photo you attach. Messages sent through our contact form arrive in our Gmail inbox.

We don't send marketing emails, and we never sell your information.
Who we share it with
We share only what's needed with the companies that help us run the shop:
- Stripe processes your payment. Stripe also uses your information to prevent fraud and meet its legal obligations, as explained in Stripe's privacy policy.
- Inkthreadable (UK) prints your order and posts it to you. They receive your name, delivery address, phone number and print design.
- Royal Mail delivers your order, using your name and address.
- Vercel hosts our website, stores the print files for your order, and provides our cookie-free visitor statistics.
- Resend sends the emails we send you about your order, such as your dispatch notice with tracking. It receives your name, email address and order details.
- Google provides our email (Gmail), where messages you send us are stored.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, it is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK–US Data Bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Order records (what you bought, what you paid, and your name and address): 6 years, as required for tax records.
- Print files for your order: deleted within 3 months of your order.
- Messages and emails with us, including any photos: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than 2 years.
Cookies and storage
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies on dogtastik.com, so there's no cookie banner. Our visitor counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies.
We save your basket in your browser's local storage, so it's still there if you leave and come back. This is needed for the basket to work, stays on your device, and isn't sent to us until you check out. You can clear it at any time by emptying your basket or clearing your browser data.
When you pay, you're taken to Stripe's secure checkout page, which uses its own cookies for security and fraud prevention. See Stripe's cookie policy.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information (unless we need to keep it, for example for tax records)
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
To use any of these rights, email dogtastik@gmail.com. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We'll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
